Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data Timoir collects, how it’s used, and how we keep it safe — without legal jargon.
What data we collect
- Account information: information you provide to create and use your account, such as your email address and basic profile details. Authentication is handled via Firebase.
- App content & metadata: information needed to create and manage jars and shared experiences, such as titles, timing preferences, sharing settings, and related identifiers.
- Encrypted content: notes and moments you create are stored only in encrypted form. We cannot read or access the contents of your notes.
- Technical & usage data: limited technical information (such as device or app information) required to operate, secure, and improve the service.
End‑to‑end encryption
All notes and private content in Timoir are end‑to‑end encrypted. This means:
- Your notes are encrypted before they are stored.
- Encryption keys are stored in encrypted form per user.
- No one at Timoir — not admins, not developers — can read your notes or moments.
- Only you, and people you explicitly share a jar with, can decrypt the content.
How your data is used
- To provide core features like jars, notes, sharing, and unlock timing.
- To notify you about early access or important product updates.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your content for advertising.
Data sharing
We do not share your personal data with third parties, except when required to operate the service securely (for example, Firebase infrastructure), or if legally required to do so.
Data retention & deletion
- You can delete your account and data at any time.
- Encrypted notes and containers are removed when you delete your account.
- Email addresses are stored only as long as needed for the service.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw consent at any time.
